The Regulatory Litigation team at Coinbase focuses on regulatory subpoenas, investigations, and litigation in some of the most interesting areas of law today. This role is perfect for a high- energy and strategic attorney with substantial experience in these areas.

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties): 

• Manage fast-paced docket of third party subpoena responses from regulatory agencies, including providing thought leadership, strategic direction and proactive solutions
• Monitor and analyze litigation and regulatory investigations / matters (including financial regulatory enforcement matters) for Coinbase across the crypto space
• Develop, execute, and continuously assess Coinbase world-wide litigation strategy and tactics, including providing thought leadership, strategic direction and proactive solutions
• Join team who receives, tracks, investigates, prepares evidentiary presentations, attempts to settle, and, where necessary, litigates litigation and regulatory matters brought against Coinbase.
• Engage and manage outside counsel to effectively and efficiently represent Coinbase
• Work collegially and supportively with other members of legal team 

What we look for in you:  

• At least 5 years of litigation or regulatory investigation experience
• Experience with third party subpoenas from regulatory agencies
• Strong negotiation skills
• Ability to manage expanding subpoena response and investigation practice, using outside counsel strategically and efficiently
