We are seeking a Government and Tax Incentives Counsel for our Government Affairs team. CoreWeave is a tenant in numerous data centers across the US, supporting its cutting-edge AI cloud platform. Our data centers may qualify for State government incentives, such as sales tax exemptions. In addition, CoreWeave pursues local government incentives, including property and real tax abatements. 

About the Role:

We seek a lawyer to collaborate with teams’ company-wide to help analyze and secure state and local government incentives. This lawyer will also help the company develop and maintain a world-class compliance program to meet incentive reporting requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Read, research, and interpret statutes to assist in the preparation and submission of applications for State and local government incentive programs, tax incentives, and others including grants, subsidies, and abatements.
  • Advise the company’s procurement and supply chain units and data center operations group to ensure the company is using the exemptions correctly to avail itself of the sales tax exemptions and or other incentives. 
  • Advise outside vendors, and the company’s accounting department, regarding reporting requirements to ensure the company is in compliance with data center sales tax exemption programs and other incentive programs.
