The Cost Price Analyst reviews and evaluates contractor cost and price proposals for reasonableness, allowability; and allocability of direct and indirect costs. The Cost Price Analyst establishes a pricing objective for us to use in contract negotiations for awarding initial contracts or for evaluating changes occurring during the progress of the contract.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes data and supplier proposals to determine fair and reasonable pricing as well as compliance with US Government pricing regulations.
  • Conducts fact-finding as needed to review the basis of estimates and source documentation verifying proposal cost estimates.
  • Reviews technical analyses and audit reports to assist in the evaluation of price/cost reasonableness. In addition, supports price negotiations held with the supplier.
  • Uses industry techniques and practices to establish fair and reasonable pricing positions and negotiation ranges.
  • Reviews subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and services.
  • Utilizes expertise in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) Supplements, with a solid working knowledge of FAR Part 15. Also utilizes knowledge of Title 10 CFR 600.
  • May function in an advisory or leadership role providing direction to professional staff; may participate in the selection, development, and training of all levels of professional procurement staff.
  • Utilizes analytical, verbal, and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings.
  • Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Utilizes MS Office Suite, SAP, and other applications.
  • Other projects and initiatives as assigned.

 

Job Qualifications:
