JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Opportunity...

Commvault is seeking a dynamic and motivated Corporate Development Sr. Associate, with focus on M&A and Strategic Initiatives, to play a pivotal role in researching, evaluating, and executing M&A opportunities, post-merger Integration activities, and strategic and business development cross-functional activities for the advancement and incubation of strategic initiatives. The Corporate Development Sr. Associate will work closely with Head of Corporate Development, Legal, Product Management, Sales, Channel, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to drive company’s objectives and contribute to its long-term plan. The role reports to Head of Corporate Development and is remote.

What You'll do...

M&A Support:

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of potential acquisition strategic areas, acquisition targets, and gather data on market trends, competitive landscape, target company performance, and build pipeline in alignment with the company’s vision and goals.

  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to develop a robust acquisition thesis, present findings, establish M&A objectives, and provide recommendations to Corporate Development & senior leadership team.

  • Work with Finance, Product Management and other stakeholders to build comprehensive long-term business case for M&A or partnership opportunities and ensure alignment with company’s strategic objectives and financial targets.

  • Conduct regular follow ups with M&A and Integration teams to monitor progress, track and evaluate the Corporate Development processes, provide regular updates to various internal stakeholders, and run acquisitions and Integrations as Project Manager.

Post-M&A Integration Support:

  • Develop and oversee integration plans and roadmaps, developing and integrating combined processes, systems, and cultures to achieve acquisition goals within defined timelines.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on their post-merger integration plans and provide Integration Management Office support to achieve deal thesis and success of the acquisition. Work as an integration liaison with Product, Engineering, and Customer org.

  • Ensure operational and employee readiness from Day 1 by implementing structured plans for employee onboarding, communication, productivity tools, and alignment with the company’s processes and systems.

  • Drive cultural alignment initiatives to promote collaboration and establish a unified organizational identity that supports long-term success of the acquisition. Lead communication and cultural alignment initiatives to engage employees, address concerns, and foster a unified organizational identity post-merger.

Strategic Initiatives Support:

  • Coordinate, manage, and support key strategic initiatives identified by Commvault’s Senior Team, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives while assisting Corporate Development leadership in tracking and advancing these initiatives effectively.

  • Monitor and analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitive landscape to inform strategy. Translate strategic plans into operational initiatives, ensuring seamless execution from concept to completion.

  • Support in regularly communicating strategic and operational initiatives related to business development and strategic technology partnerships. Continually strengthen communication, decision-making, and education across key functions and stakeholders.

  • 5+ years of professional experience, or 3+ years of experience with a Master's degree

$68,000 - $195,500
