  • Support the collection of internal documents and information for discovery, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to the business on potential and ongoing litigation, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies.

Drafting & Negotiating Agreements:

  • Manage the contract lifecycle, from initial negotiations through execution, amendments, and renewals, ensuring all deadlines and obligations are met.
  • Provide practical legal advice on contract terms, negotiation strategies, and potential risks to support business decision-making.

Regulatory & Compliance Support:

  • Advise on regulatory and compliance matters affecting contracts and litigation, including HIPAA, HITECH, data privacy laws, and healthcare technology regulations.
  • Ensure all contracts and litigation strategies comply with relevant laws and regulations and reflect best practices in the healthcare technology space.
  • Stay up-to-date on regulatory developments in the healthcare and technology industries and advise on their potential impact on the company’s operations.

General Legal Support:

  • Provide general legal support across a wide range of corporate matters, including intellectual property, employment law, and M&A transactions, as needed.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of company policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and minimize risks.
  • Collaborate with other members of the legal team to provide seamless support for cross-functional projects and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active member in good standing of the New York State bar or eligibility to be admitted as in-house counsel.  Other state bar memberships considered.
  • 3-5 years of experience in litigation management and contract negotiation, with a strong understanding of the healthcare or technology industries.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex legal issues to non-legal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting while managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to New York City for key meetings and events.

Preferred Qualifications:
