Contracts Specialist S&K Corporate

*This is a fully remote position.
The Contracts Specialist will administer contracts and subcontracts for the subsidiaries under S&K Technologies, Inc. Plan, award, negotiate, and manage subcontracts and contracts to ensure all cost, schedule and performance contract requirements are met. Prepare all contractual documents, amendments, and modifications in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Department of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplements (DFARS), S&K policies, best commercial practices, and other US Government regulations and policies. The Contracts Specialist role in the “cradle to grave” contracting process requires close collaboration with the contract’s manager, various internal departments, subsidiaries, and external customers. This position involves independent judgment.
- Organize, maintain, and electronically track all contracts and related documents.
- Possess competent understanding of best commercial practices, FAR, DFARS, and applicable governmental regulations and policies relating to contract and subcontracts management.
- Draft, review, coordinate, or manage contracts and subcontracts in accordance with internal and external requirements, agreements, and policies.
- Provide advice or participate directly in the negotiation of contract or subcontract terms and conditions, and other corporate agreements.
- Analyze and develop “flow-down” requirements and advise on issues related to the Truth-in-Negotiations Act, Cost Accounting Standards, Small Business Goals, Competition in Contracting Act, use and protection of proprietary information, and a wide variety of other FAR/DFARS-related requirements.
- In coordination with S&K contracts managers and senior contracting leadership, create, implement, and utilize templates for Price Negotiation Memorandums, Price Competition Memorandums, Request for Information, subcontracts, and all other related agreements.
- Prepare reports and recommendations for presentation to management.
- Document all contractual actions according to internal procedures and policies.
- Understand new procurement law, regulation & contract trends for potential impact on business.
- Some travel may be required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Perform corporate enterprise-level document review and processing, to include, but not limited to, Non-Disclosure Agreements and Teaming Agreements.
- Perform corporate enterprise-level administration functions, to include, but not limited to, System Acquisition Management (SAM) data verification and entry, and collection/coordination of Contractor Performance Assessment Reporting System (CPARS) documents, Deltek contracts module data verification and entry.
Experience:
- Four (4) years minimum experience in contracts and/or subcontract management.
- U.S. government experience in the Federal contracting career field and working knowledge of Federal contracting, to include the FARS, DFARS, and other Federal contracting supplements is required. Foreign Military Sales experience preferred.
- Must possess an excellent understanding of technical issues with regard to contract impacts, ability to communicate verbally and in written form effectively, and the ability to work within U.S. Government contractual realm.
- Requires the ability to communicate effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Education:
- Associates degree in Business Administration, Contracting, or Finance.
- Bachelor's in related field, preferred.
Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
- Current drivers’ license
- Proof of U.S. citizenship
- The ability to obtain security clearance enabling access to various Government facilities.
