FTE: 1.0, Shift: Day, Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. This position is remote position and does require residence in Washington, Idaho or Oregon.

Position Summary

The Contract Support Specialist supports the implementation and recurrent maintenance of assigned MHS payer contracts and serves as the key contact for inquiries and in-service education between the contracting function and entities throughout MHS who rely on current payer information. The incumbent works closely with the contracting team; maintains contract information in the contract management system; responds to electronic and direct inquiries from internal personnel or payer representatives about policies, reporting, contracts, credentialing and other payer matters; monitors payer performance and resolves issues; educates internal staff on new payer products or material changes in payer relationships; collects and assimilates payer contract information; maintains contract summaries and develops and maintains relationships with internal MHS stakeholders and with External Health Plan stakeholders.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for all aspects of the contract repository database, including maintenance, enhancing, and managing repository, platform, and system for the department (legal repository)

  • Submit all assigned payer contracts using signature process and ensure executed per policies, uploaded to the contract database and linked to applicable payer and contract by department naming convention 

  • Gathers, compiles, and maintains departmental data files and organizational structures. Composing and or editing written materials both internal and external ; creating spreadsheets and presentations; interpreting departmental and/or corporate policies and procedures and coordinating special projects

Requirements

  • Associates Degree or equivalent education and experience

  • Four (4) years of experience in a payer or provider contracting environment performing duties related to commercial payers contracts, payment variance, policies and contract methodologies

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $26.04 - $37.47 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
