Position Summary:

As the Contract Manager, you will negotiate the Nordex maintenance & service agreements during the sales process for wind turbines and thus maintain most favorable terms and conditions. Additionally, the candidate is requested to take full responsibility for meeting company KPIs in connection with the quoting manager of the respective region. The position is remote with occasional travel to West Branch, IA and customer sites.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Negotiation of service contracts and management of large tenders regarding service matters.

  • Preparation of project specific pricing and detailed customer solutions with the support of the quoting manager.

  • Responsible for documentation upload and timely response of customer requests.

  • Professional presentation of service contract offerings including cost benefit argumentation.

  • Preparation of Gate reviews and internal approval process to be presented in the Project Board Meeting.

  • Continuous market observation of customer needs and trends in order to provide solutions to the development of the service product portfolio.

  • Responsibility for achieving the organization’s order intake requirements and further KPIs within the region.

  • Ensure timely responses to customers on critical updates and internal follow-up.

  • Providing support for the Account Managers of the respective regions.

  • Internal alignment with sales managers, engineering, and other departments during negotiations.

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business discipline, law, or equivalent work experience

  • 3-5 years in sales contract management or a similar discipline is required.

  • Motivated, goal-oriented, persistent, and a skilled negotiator

  • Excellent organizational management, analytical, technical writing, and interpersonal communications skills

  • Ability to manage several activities/projects at once, to organize/prioritize work, meet deadlines, and prepare plans and customer communications.

  • High level of initiative and works well in a team environment.

  • Handles stressful situations and deadline pressures well.

  • Plans and carries out responsibilities with minimal direction.

  • Technical knowledge of the wind industry is preferred.

  • Knowledge of long-term service contracts in sales contract management and/ or sales

     experience is a plus.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is required.

  • Experience in customer services and sales is required.

  • Experience in renewable energy is a plus.

  • Flexibility with travel based on the overall company objectives (>15% travel).

  • Driving is an essential function of the job. Must possess a full valid driver’s license and be insurable under our auto insurance policy. This position will be subject to periodic driver’s abstract checks to confirm continued insurability.

 

The pay for this role is exempt at $100 - $115k annually with up to a 50% bonus.  Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
