The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Contracts Analyst, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Working closely with sales to drive revenue and contract compliance through sound government contracting principles and practices.
  • Contributing to the overall team strategic vision and coaching of government contracts support team members for optimal engagement and performance.
  • Providing subject matter expertise and guidance on government contracts, proposals and business opportunities, including applicable federal government terms and regulations.
  • Consulting with senior-level sales business partners on negotiations strategy; develops outside-the-box solutions for and compromises with customers; and at times participates directly in customer negotiations.
  • Developing contract implementation plan to: (i) address internal system processing implications and requirements; (ii) document contract files; (iii) implement data and tracking elements within confines of contract management system; (iv) communicate key contract information to executive leadership and key business stakeholders; and (v) support contract execution meetings with impacted business stakeholders.
  • Utilizing sound business judgment to manage time and resources and to identify opportunities for improving contract development and execution processes in order to deliver accurate and timely results in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Identifying critical pre and post-execution contractual issues and escalates them to the appropriate business or legal partners to mitigate, reduce, and eliminate risks for the US business; drives cross-functional team discussions to build consensus and implements the necessary resolution of such issues.
  • Being accountable for the lifecycle management of assigned portfolio of contracts utilizing a contract management system: accurate and current contract file documentation, timely contract updates through system changes and modifications, reporting and obligation management, regular contract compliance reviews, and contract close-out.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business from an accredited institution AND a minimum of eleven (11) years of experience

OR

  • High School Diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution AND a minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience

AND

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

  • Eight (8) years of experience in US federal government contracting within the government and/or within commercial industry
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include

  • JD or Master’s degree in Business or related field
  • Twelve (12) years of experience in government contracting within the government and/or within commercial industry
  • Attention to detail, collaboration, organization, and strong prioritization skills
  • Ability to multi-task and appropriately prioritize work in a high-volume, quick deadline environment
  • Ability to deal effectively with all employees, while conveying a positive service-oriented attitude
  • Ability to build key relationships with team members across the organization and develop an informal network of internal consultants
  • Strong analytical, project management and leadership skills

Work location: Remote

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $106,331 - $129,960, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
