Consultant - Indirect Spend/Purchased Services

Summary:

In this role, you will provide support to members by leading, participating in, and/or facilitating non-clinical service contract negotiations. You will provide analytical support and guidance pertaining to service contracts to establish business needs, financial, and operational impact to meet savings goals or other performance improvement targets. You will also provide other services including project management, technical and operational support.

Responsibilities:

• Gather and analyze data from various sources to identify performance improvement opportunities.
• Present findings and provide recommendations to member management as needed.
• Utilize project management methodologies to plan and execute projects, achieve milestones, and deliver on intended objectives.
• Collaborate with management and internal teams on recommendations to improve products/services/tools/methods in purchased services area.
• Support senior level consultants with member engagements including research, development of presentations, meeting preparation, status report preparation, and issue identification.

Qualifications:

• Relevant degree preferred. Master’s degree desired.
• 2 or more years relevant work experience required.  
• Strong analytical data analysis and ability to present summary data to key stakeholders required.
• Understanding of health care operations and systems, and/or supply chain required.
• Purchased services experience preferred.
• Experience in project management, change management and process improvement desired.
• Strong presentation skills desired.
• Ability to travel regularly and expeditiously throughout the year to meet clients’ needs and timetables. 

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $68,500.00 to $116,300.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
