Consultant, Business Capability Team Owner (Agile Product Owner)

This posting is for a Product Owner role on our Property Sophistication Value Stream. This role will be a member of both the Business Delivery team and our agile technology team, serving as the business proxy on the team, representing customer needs. 

Major responsibilities include: 

• Prioritizes and maintains a holistic product backlog including new build, enhancement work, defects and PILs, and technology driven work.   

• Provides critical input to developers and agile teams serving as the liaison to ensure the business and customer point of view is captured.           

• Partners with the Technology Analyst, Developers, and Testers to define and deliver scope that meets the business outcomes our customers request through story card development and execution. 

• Triages issues and defects assigned to the line. Works with development team to resolve technically complex issues requiring alignment across multiple business partners and subject areas.        

• Participates in planning and execution of testing in the software development cycle to ensure a quality product is produced.     

• Manages a continuous feedback loop to refine the team processes as well as the product owner processes. 

• The ideal candidate has some level of experience with the Guidewire PolicyCenter platform, strong communication skills, the ability to collaborate with and lead teams, think tactically and excel in data driven decision making. Experience with Agile Delivery methodologies a plus.
