We are seeking a remote Construction Project Manager to oversee multiple automotive dealership renovation projects within their assigned region. This role reports to a Senior Construction Manager and is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects from preconstruction to closeout.
What You’ll Do:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related matters, ensuring effective communication and coordination between internal and external stakeholders.
- Organize and lead regular project meetings, providing expert advice to facilitate efficient and cost-effective outcomes.
- Oversee budgeting, scheduling, and issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
- Evaluate and recommend design and engineering solutions, including civil, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) aspects.
- Monitor and direct all preconstruction and construction services, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Review and approve payment requests, contracts, and change orders.
- Ensure timely delivery and installation of owner-supplied furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
- Collaborate with the in-house Design Management Team to optimize project feasibility and value engineering.
- Negotiate contracts with external vendors and contractors.
- Maintain adherence to health, safety, and compliance standards, proactively addressing issues.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in Project/Construction Management for retail or commercial projects.
- Proven track record as an Owner’s Representative/Construction Project Manager managing multiple complex projects valued at $5M+.
- Strong understanding of construction procedures, contracts, and project management principles.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office and construction/project management software.
- Exceptional critical thinking, negotiation, and time management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Planning, or Construction Management (or related field).
