Steadily is an insurance technology company that specializes in rental property insurance for landlords. We’re three years old, over 130 people, help insure over $20B in rental properties, and are intent on becoming the world’s best and largest insurer for landlords.

We exist to deliver fast, affordable insurance and to pay claims quickly and fairly. To do that, we hire the best engineers, actuaries, sales, and service people in the country to build the experience that we’d want if we were the client.

This role is on a new concierge team at Steadily who sell only to returning clients. Most of our customers do own more than one investment property, so this team is responsible for handling returning clients when the original agent has departed. They will build a relationship with the customer and try to earn more of the customer's portfolio.

Since we only hire folks who are stellar at what they do, we hire insurance agents who can demonstrate that they're at the top of their game in personal lines insurance (the sharpest in the industry). You'll be surrounded by other agents who are excellent at what they do which will just make you even better.

What you'll do

  • Since this is a new team at Steadily, so you will be integral in building out the workflows and protocols around this function. You are comfortable with change and trying new things to see if they work. 

  • You love selling and account management rolled into one. You will build a relationships to earn the balance of portfolio with existing customers who's original agent has left the company.

  • Convert incoming inquiries by rapidly responding to customers who have requested a quote on our site.

  • Respond to customer sales requests primarily through phone as well as leveraging SMS and email.

  • You will not handle servicing. Any function that is considered servicing is handed off to the client experience team.

  • Have meaningful input with our product and engineering team so we can quickly improve our product for our customers.

Your background

  • Experienced: You have a minimum of two years of experience as a high-performing, licensed Property & Casualty insurance producer. You have a working knowledge of Homeowners/Dwelling Fire policies.

  • Relationship Building: You are great salesperson, but you don't live for the hunt .. you sell through relationship.

  • Digital: You have above-average computer skills and can adapt to new technology quickly.

  • Hungry: You are driven by love of the sale. You’re competitive and know how to hustle to get things done quickly for your customer.

  • Self-Driven: You are disciplined and are comfortable executing every day without being told what to do. You know what needs to be done and you do it without being asked. You are comfortable being held accountable to your results.

  • Ambitious: You don't watch the clock when you are working towards your goals. Achieving your goals could take you beyond the traditional 8-5 and you’re willing to do what it takes to hit your targets.

Licensing

  • You must currently have an active Property and Casualty insurance license in your resident state. 

  • We will handle securing your non-resident licenses.

Compensation

  • $75,000 - $115,000 total compensation with no cap on commission earning. Includes a higher than industry standard base salary.
