Position Overview
GEICO is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented analyst to support the Regulatory Examination Management team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the company’s compliance, with a specific emphasis on supporting Regulatory Examinations (MCEs, MCIs, Financial Exams, etc). The Compliance Analyst works cross-functionally with operational lines, legal, IT, product, and internal controls. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of market conduct and/or similar regulatory compliance work, excellent communication skills, strong analytical abilities, a commitment to ethical conduct, a proactive approach to risk identification, and support a culture of collaboration with various departments within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of this position consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assist with regulatory examinations and responses to regulatory inquiries for GEICO businesses, with specific emphasis on inquiries related to policy underwriting and rating activities, insurance products, and customer service handling
- Act as a liaison between other departments to draft and provide timely and accurate responses to regulatory examination and investigation requests
- Compile and maintain detailed records of correspondence, data, and documents provided to or received from Department of Insurance related to the Market Conduct Exams
- Provide data, form, process and procedural analysis for examinations
- Provides support post-corrective action and identify any additional opportunities to ensure changes are implemented as intended
- Communicate exam status and updates, which may involve presenting findings and recommendations in a memo or presentation to management
- Lead decision-making forums as subject matter expert. Present and defend recommendations to all levels of the organization in clear business language
- Research state laws to find applicable compliance issues, communicates issues with GEICO counsel and handle questions on procedures regarding findings
- Evaluate and research examination results for other insurance companies to determine applicability to GEICO
- Participate in special projects, as needed
- Additional responsibilities, as assigned
Qualifications

- 5+ years financial industry experience within a U.S. regulated financial institution, specific work experience with insurance-related federal and state regulations relating to product, underwriting, and rating practices preferred
