The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. The Competitive Intelligence Analyst II will be responsible for supporting competitive intelligence efforts to capture, analyze, and synthesize competitive insights from various channels (earnings calls, analyst reports, press releases, team members, etc.) with an eye on the ‘so what?’ above all else. Maintaining competitor profiles including drivers, current strategy, management assumptions, and capabilities also fall in the day-to-day. They will primarily support Cox Automotive’s Retail Solutions businesses.
In addition to keeping a pulse on key competitive activity, the Competitive Intelligence Analyst II will play a key role in product updates and overall competitive dynamics in the space, with the objective of supporting developing strategic insights focused on maintaining the companies' leadership positions. Activities may also support business planning, product development, sales enablement, marketing, and competitive response strategies.
What You’ll Do
Research: stay current on market and competitors and monitor the news/marketplace on a daily basis. Effectively coordinate, capture, synthesize and analyze competitive insights from various channels, maintaining robust competitor profiles that synthesize key insights. Undertake specific projects, build areas of expertise and share knowledge with team members.
Competitive analysis: perform research and analysis on specific competitors: market presence, product offerings and capabilities, sales strategies and relevant dynamics. Gain a deep understanding of some of Cox Automotive’s key competitors and help build winning competitive strategies.
Content development: develop competitive briefs, quarterly earnings points-of-views, product matrixes and presentations for different audiences. Also, partner with Sales and Marketing teams to create sales enablement materials.
Product management: stay abreast of competitor product evolutions and launches. Identify and communicate portfolio gaps and market observations on a regular basis.
Establish a strong network, including key industry groups, clients and experts (internal and external).
Keep abreast of developments and best practices in the Competitive Intelligence field.
Support ad hoc requests and assume other responsibilities as they arise.
Travel: to dealerships and to Atlanta, on an as-needed basis.

Who You Are
Minimum:
Bachelor’s degree in related discipline and 2 years of Automotive retail experience –either in software-as-a-service and/or dealership operations. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and up to 2 years’ experience; or 6 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
