The Opportunity

Good Inside is looking for a Part Time Community Manager to foster connection in our Community, helping to facilitate relationship-building and intimacy within our private member group as we scale. You’ll report to the Sr. Director of Community and you’ll be a critical part in making the Good Inside Community a great place to be for values-aligned parents. Along with the rest of the Community Team, you’re balancing the online community, events, and member queries with finesse, keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

As our Community Manager, you’ll be responding to community members’ questions and connecting members to one another, and to content and resources that we have available. This is a remote role requiring availability on nights, weekends and occasional holidays.

What You’ll Own

  • Supporting daily management and engagement in the Good Inside Community in Circle.
  • Build & nurture relationships with community members to support engagement and retention goals.
  • Rehome member posts to appropriate spaces to improve engagement.
  • Provide live support during virtual events - supporting with moderation in the chat, ensuring community safety, and providing resources to members in real-time.
  • Perform occasional coverage for full-time Community team on an as needed basis.

Your Skills & Experience

  • 1-2 years in community management, customer support, or related work, including volunteer work
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in psychology, communications, digital media, or other related fields 
  • Natural dot-connector. You like connecting people with recommendations that will help them 
  • Excellent active listening skills to provide empathetic support to community members, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment
  • Exceptional collaborator and knows how to work with cross-teams to achieve goals, and cares about helping others achieve their goals
  • Independent executor who can take ideas and directions and put it into action. You go above and beyond to creatively solve problems, answer questions, and advocate for members, earning their trust and loyalty
