Acentra is seeking a Communication Specialist to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

Responsible for first-line development and delivery of the company’s BFCC QIO-related communications, consumer education, and outreach functions. Prepare written informational materials for distribution to external stakeholders and other groups, and for development and execution of patient outreach programs. Carry out activities that facilitate communication of the organization’s message to internal and external customers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Carry out activities that facilitate communication of the organization's message to internal/external customers.
  • Actively network with other agencies/organizations with which the company can work effectively to educate and inform beneficiaries and conduct outreach projects.
  • Maintain, or assure maintenance of, regular, consistent, and effective communication with these partners.
  • Manage workload with respect to outreach activities, technical aspects of feedback (e.g., formatting and design of feedback reports, overheads, brochures, etc.) and of communications vehicles (newsletters, bulletins, etc.)
  • Network with other staff to assure we pool our knowledge and resources to make maximum use of staff time and energy while maximizing impact of communications efforts.
  • Develop, or encourage the development of, innovative, effective, and cost-effective feedback and outreach activities, and help the company develop and maintain a statewide presence within the provider, physician and beneficiary communities.

Required Qualifications/Experience:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree and 2+ years' experience; or an equivalent combination of education and relative experience.
  • Excellent customer service and teamwork skills
  • Organizational, interpersonal and presentation skills required.
  • Ability to work independently is essential.
  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and present information clearly and accurately.
  • Ability to adapt to the changing needs of beneficiary education and HCQIP projects required. 
  • Ability to work within deadlines and under pressure.
  • Working knowledge of word processing and graphics software.
  • Previous experience in quality assurance, utilization review, or allied health services, in a health care setting beneficial.

Compensation 

The pay range for this position is $78,000.00-80,000.00 annually

“Based on our compensation philosophy, an applicant’s position placement in the pay range will depend on various considerations, such as years of applicable experience and skill level.”
