Commercial Operations Excellence Manager

Job Description SummaryRole Summary/Purpose
This role involves managing projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and utilizing data-driven methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives. They will own or be part of new ad hoc projects requested by Commercial Leaders, Sales Leadership, Commercial Excellence, and other key stakeholders within the GE Healthcare PDx Organization. They will also work with the Commercial Excellence team on any system implementations, enhancements, or other impacts to SAP or Salesforce.com systems primarily used by PDx.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. 
• Identify process improvement initiatives including opportunities, gaps, or weakness for leadership. 
• Lead operational projects including system or process design, contractual and pricing planning and related methodologies to meet Commercial Operations goals.
• Oversee all initiatives, including planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
• Work closely with all Commercial Operations teams and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful implementation of initiatives.
• Report initiative status, issues, and risks to leadership and create detailed reports for review.
• Track and report on the progress of initiatives, using data to make informed decisions and adjustments as needed.
• Coordinate Lessons Learned Reviews and report on successful outcomes, problem areas, failures, expectations, and recommendations to senior management.
• Lead, mentor, and motivate a small team to achieve individual and team goals.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to ensure buy-in and support for initiatives.
• Enable a collaborative culture and drive organization to improve customer/client satisfaction levels and responsiveness.
• Commercial Operation Initiatives include but are limited to:
  • New product activities including sales targeting, pricing & implementation, SFDC Account management, external consultant and vendor onboarding, IT requests, etc.
  • Coordination of price increase strategies/implementations across all modalities. 
  • Cross functional and/or pilot programs, software initiatives and contract deals as assigned.
  • Development of commercial operations training for all Sales teams. 

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Management or related field, MBA is advantageous. 
• Minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience.
• Proven leadership and interpersonal skills including the ability to collaborate with staff at all levels within the organization to achieve business goals.
• Experience in the HealthCare, Pharmaceutical, and/or Life Sciences industry.
• Experience or demonstrated ability to work with Sales.
• Knowledge of contracts administration procedures and practices.
• Proven critical thinking skills; able to solve problems and make effective and timely decisions.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects independently in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
• High level of competency with MS Office applications (MS Word, Excel, VISIO, MIRO and PowerPoint).
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Smartsheet.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with learning, utilizing, and teaching technology.
• Attention to detail, with accurate input and proofreading skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize own workload and meet deadlines.
• Enable collaborative culture and drive organization to improve customer satisfaction levels and responsiveness.

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $91,600.00-$137,400.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
