What’s in Store  

We're on the lookout for a Commercial Auto/Trucking Adjuster. As a Commercial Auto/Trucking Adjuster, you will be responsible for the investigation of coverage, liability and damages, negotiating with claimants, contractors, and attorneys, through the life of the claim, maintain a pending and closing ratio of 100%, be responsible for the establishment and maintenance of reserves and payments, presenting status reports and communicate with their manager as well as internal and external customers.  

 

  • Negotiate and settle liability and property claims
  • Prepare written status reports for clients
  • Ability to interpret routine policy contracts and coverage
  • Ability to plan, organize and establish priorities to maintain various responsibilities under critical deadlines
  • Attend mediations and settlement conferences as necessary
  • Direct and monitor defense counsel to settle litigated claims
  • Provide monetary authority and strategy to counsel to ensure client’s money and claims are protected
  • Knowledge of current case law, statutory law, DOI regulations, etc. that apply to claims practices and issues within the territory of operation
  • The ability to determine, evaluate, investigate and resolve claims
  • Demonstrate sound analytical skills
  • Other duties as assigned

 

This role is a full-time, home-based position. 

 

Your Expertise, Skills, and Abilities 

  • College degree or equivalent work experience 
  • Must hold an active Adjuster License; multiple state Adjuster licenses preferred
  • Maintain CEU credits for Adjuster license(s)
  • Demonstrate an ability to manage claims at every angle including litigation, coverage, damage analysis, experts, reserving, subrogation and risk transfer
  • Ability to prepare detailed reports and recommendations to clients
  • Ability to analyze and research legal and claim trends
  • Ability to understand policies and strong reading, writing skills
  • Prior Legal experience is preferred
  • Possess strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to review and interpret estimates
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite
