Cloud Systems Engineer & Onboarding Specialist

Leidos CIO Services is seeking a Cloud Systems Engineer & Onboarding Specialist to join our Hosting Services Business Enablement team. This role leverages knowledge of cloud services, including Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, and On-Premises systems, to ensure seamless end-to-end onboarding for our customers, optimizing all related processes and workflows.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Utilize SAFe Agile practices to collaborate with business and technology teams to determine system requirements including program functions, output needs, input data gathering, user acceptance testing, and potentially coordinating testing and system controls.
  • Contribute to developing solutions and automations addressing technical needs, workflows, and issues based on customer requirements.
  • Work closely with our Project Manager to facilitate the onboarding of customer technology solutions into Hosting Services, from initial consultations to ongoing support.
  • Monitor, support, and manage the resolution of hosting onboarding tickets in the CIO central operations queue.
  • Identify gaps and opportunities for enhancing the onboarding process and contribute to the implementation of improvements.
  • Provide briefings in partnership with Solutions Architects to customers on Hosting Services capabilities, covering Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google) and On-Premise data centers.
  • Collaborate closely with Solution Architects to address customer requirements and devise technical solutions.
  • Maintain effective communication with both internal teams and client project members.
  • Influence team members on solution design, processes, and methodologies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field with 2+ years of experience in cloud computing, or Associate's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, or High School diploma/GED with 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Previous experience with one or more public clouds: Azure, AWS, or Google.
  • Understanding of cloud services, including Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, and On-Premise Data Centers.
  • Solid foundational knowledge of technology concepts, cloud, networking, security, computing, and operating systems.
  • Strong communication and interaction capabilities across all levels of staff and management is required.
  • Proven ability to make independent judgments, build relationships, and reach consensus among stakeholders is required.
  • Ability to develop peer networks within an organization to maintain technology awareness and facilitate problem resolution is required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities is required.
  • US citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications as an AWS/Azure Solution Architect and/or SAFe Agile.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering and architecture framework concepts is highly desired.
  • Experience utilizing SAFe or other Agile methodologies for planning and documentation.
  • Experience in ITIL environments.
  • Familiarity with observability tools such as Splunk or PowerBI.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $55,250.00 - $99,875.00
