Leidos is seeking a Cloud Systems Engineer who has experience with designing, deploying, and managing cloud environments from Amazon Web Services. Experience should also include VMWare Cloud virtual hosting environment, OKTA Cloud, MS Windows / Linux Server administration, Windows PowerShell scripting, ActiveDirectory, VDI, and Cloud storage solutions. Applicant should be able to design and develop complex solutions with minimal to no assistance from peers. Daily duties include O&M of virtual/cloud environments and designing and implementing new technologies. Should also be able to review peers' designs and ensure solution is sound. Must be able to work in a team environment and collaborate when needed. Adaptability and thinking outside the box to meet complex customer requirements key. This is a high-profile program supporting projects working on highly visible applications and building the next generation biometric applications.

Your Main Mission:

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud-oriented solutions using Amazon Web Services, VMWare Cloud, and OKTA Cloud.

• Automate cloud deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) including Ansible and TerraForm.

• Assist with efforts to prototype new cloud technologies and services that are key to the cloud roadmap.

• Design, deploy, and manage solutions using virtual environments implemented under VMWare Cloud.

• Provide technical expertise and assist with systems integration and consolidation efforts across multiple systems environments.

• Addresses and resolves technical problems of moderate complexity relating to the installation and upgrade of systems software and cloud resources.

• Interface with customers, vendors, and other technical staff to analyze business and technical requirements.

• Engineer/implement technical solutions from a cradle to grave technical approach.

• Assist/train engineers on new technologies to improve the organizations technical expertise.

• Utilize automation tools and programming languages to perform repetitive tasks.

• Requires expert knowledge of and ability to apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts.

What Sets You Apart:

• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance. Candidates who do not currently possess this level of clearance will not be considered.

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ year of prior relevant experience Additional experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

• Strong verbal and documentation communication skills.

• Demonstrated experience for client support of large-scale enterprise applications.

You Might Also Have:

• Certifications in AWS, Azure, or other cloud environments.

Clearance Required:

• Possess an active DoD Secret level clearance at the time of consideration.
