Responsibilities

 

Peraton is seeking a Cloud Network Administrator. This hired individual will be supporting our CFTC's Cloud infrastructure team, to review, plan, and evaluate network systems. Peraton serves as a valued partner to essential government agencies across the intelligence, space, cyber, defense, civilian, health, and state and local markets. Every day, our employees do the can’t be done, solving the most daunting challenges facing our customers. This is a remote position.

 

What you will do:

  • Review, plan, and evaluate network systems
  • Troubleshoot networks and recommend improvements
  • Provide documentation, project tracking, and management reporting
  • Provide input on network planning and related projects
  • Provides ongoing network support, addresses availability issues, overcomes performance problems, and provides overall level two support.
  • Designs, installs, maintains, and coordinates the use of network systems.
  • Evaluates hardware and software and peripheral equipment for large, complex networks. Manages network performance, diagnoses performance problems,
  • Reports on overall network performance including frequent problems, underlying issues and plans to improve network availability, performance, and problem resolution. 
  • Maintains and updates system security plans on all platforms.
  • Implements and coordinates network policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Enforces network security procedures.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and a minimum 5 years experience. Additional years of experience maybe accepted in lieu of the degree
  • Experience in AWS/Azure
  • Experience with a wide variety of network systems in AWS/Azure cloud environment
  • Ability to design, develop, and troubleshoot networks
  • Experience working with cloud and containerized environments
  • Strong security first mindset
  • Experience with both cloud platforms AWS and Azure
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required agency clearance (Public Trust)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Federal or Government contracting and consulting experience is a plus
  • AWS or Azure Networking certifications
  • Excellent written communication skills for detailed documentation

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors. Apply
