Cloud DevOps Intern

The Leidos Hosting Services Cloud team is seeking a Cloud DevOps Intern. This individual will work with Cloud Engineers to reduce manual effort, improve the quality of our services, and increase our velocity by documenting and developing automation to replace inefficient processes.     

Primary Responsibilities:

Support the Cloud team in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining AWS and Azure Cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate should also have experience deploying and configuring management pipelines to enhance operational efficiency. Collaborate on creating new general automations to streamline processes. Gain experience in operational tasks supporting diverse customers hosting their resources in our Cloud environments. Assist senior cloud admins in addressing environment vulnerabilities. This internship offers remote work opportunities.

Basic Qualifications:

•Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited educational institution with an average 3.0 GPA
•Experience with scripting languages such as Python,YML, BASH, Ruby, or Perl.

•Experience with AWS and / or Azure.
•Basic understanding of configuration management with Terraform, Cloud Custodian, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or any other configuration management tool.
•Experience with version control using GitLab, or GitHub.

•Basic knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment concepts
•U.S. Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications:

•Previous experience with software or infrastructure development in a public or private cloud setting.
•Experience working as a member of a remote team.
