Clinical Specialist

The Clinical Specialist is responsible for the clinical development and knowledge of the O&P customers and sales team within one of the four sales regions for all Össur Prosthetic products. Responsible to develop in depth of knowledge, expertise and ability to effectively demonstrate the full range of products and services offered by Össur relative to Prosthetics. Must work with sales team to coordinate and execute training events. This includes but is not limited to planning and conducting clinical workshops for customers, O&P schools and at regional and national meetings. The Clinical Specialist is also responsible for identifying opportunities for current product research, product development and business growth. They will respond to technical inquires associated with product returns, concerns and complaints assisting the customer with the solution. Organization and presentation skills are critical for this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists in Area Sales Manager’s strategic planning to meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals for each territory within region.
Deliver high level demonstrations and lectures on Ossur’s full range of Prosthetic products in multiple settings.
Responding to technical inquiries, complaints and clinical feedback from customers.
Reporting on all field activity, training courses and customer contact.
Evaluates and implement programs to reduce product returns
Ensures Area Sales Managers within the region meet technical competency standards.
Responds to Area Sales Manager’s contact report and requests.
Responsible for maintaining their professional accreditation and standards.
Maintains industry leading professional and technical knowledge of Ossur and other manufacturers products
Attending educational and professional workshops, reviewing professional publications and participating in professional societies.
Maintain a healthy working relationship with their regional and national sales team.
Contribute to the collective knowledge, skill and experience of the clinical team.
All employees must be aware, have knowledge and shall have received general training in Quality requirements of Össur. Training takes place in the Onboarding process and in New Employee Orientation. More specific Quality training is job specific.
All training related to the quality management system is done in accordance to the Training Management Process (QM1681).
Exercises good use of company funds and property within the set guidelines. Maintains an honest and professional attitude as the company’s representative at all times.
Contributes to a safe working environment by maintaining own workspace and reporting any potential hazards.
