As our new Clinical service lead, you will work alongside the Divisional chief nurse to oversee all clinical aspects within the teams. This role involves driving clinical excellence, enhancing processes through quality improvement, and maintaining and building client relationships. You will work closely with Service delivery managers, the Business development team, and other divisional members to support sales margin and volume growth, whilst being responsible for the day-to-day management of all clinical functions.

Every day you will…

  • Be responsible and accountable for all the running of the clinical team, in accordance with company policies and procedures, CQC requirements & NICE Guidelines.
  • Provide effective leadership and advice in collaboration with the Divisional chief nurse.
  • Ensure the accuracy of initial assessments, care plans and risk assessments within clinical team.
  • Work with learning and development team and the clinical team ensure staff are given appropriate skills, knowledge, training, and supervision.
  • Lead the clinical team, delegating tasks and responsibilities, where necessary. Review such delegation at regular intervals ensuring its effectiveness.
  • Implement clinical aspects of existing contracts.
  • Identify challenges and opportunities to current business and works with the Divisional chief nurse to respond and resolve.
  • Assist the Business manager and Service delivery manager to drive margin growth and business development through delivering clinical excellence.
  • Build and maintain relationships with all commissioning bodies to achieve maximum revenue.
  • Manage incidents, complaints and safeguarding.
  • Oversee preparation of documentation for audit by the internal quality and compliance team and external authorities in conjunction with the governance team.
  • Ensure all packages meet CQC standards relating to care planning, compliance, and contingency.
  • Plan time and resource efficiently to ensure that costs are taken into consideration.

To thrive in this role, you must……

  • Be a registered Nurse
  • Have a qualification relevant to practice or evidence of recent CPD
  • Have post-graduate management and/or leadership training or working towards
  • Have community nursing experience
  • Be experienced participating in a research or audit project and implementing full audit cycle
  • Have experience of leading and managing a team
