Position Summary

The Clinical Quality Specialist is responsible for maintenance, organization, tracking, distribution and archiving of data and work products produced by the Clinical Quality Management Department.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Assists in the continued development and maintenance of the incident management system, RLDatix
  • System data analysis: responsible for assisting with data collection within RLDatix, and responsible for the ongoing, fast-paced, analysis of system data
  • based on documented requests, process changes, and process initiation, at the direction and approval of the Vice President of Clinical Quality Programs and/or the Clinical Quality Operations Risk Manager.
  • Maintenance and ongoing detailed documentation practices related to change control logs for tracking all RLDatix system configuration changes, user requests (similar to a traditional HelpDesk ticketing system).
  • Development and management of detailed user support documentation—planning, recording, and analysis of system useability, process improvement opportunities.
  • Coordination of Teladoc Health RLDatix reports inventory; assesses for duplicates and current use, archiving and removing reports appropriately.
  • Coordinates all reporting requirements related to the Clinical Quality Dashboard, monthly development, organization and disbursement of the dashboard to internal stakeholders.
  • Exercises critical thinking and judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actions.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite applications and ability to learn and negotiate other software platforms, including report development and presentations as required.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel is required. This position is responsible for large amounts of data that needs to be verified, organized, analyzed, and formatted for various uses, including presentations. Candidates must be proficient in, have practical experience with, and be prepared to execute/perform on day one, the following skills: pivot tables, macros, conditional formatting, cell charts, interactive charts, formulas, data verification, etc.
  • Program Analyst focused on RLDatix data that is combined with other Quality and patient data. This position is responsible for trend identification and dynamic reporting that is used to guide Clinical Quality and program decision making. The successful hire will utilize critical thinking, beyond spreadsheet skills, to understand the data, program reach, and applied outcomes.
  • Provide data analysis and trends based on report outputs: work with department peers and leaders to identify opportunities based on insights.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication
  • Proven ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment, ensuring deliverables arrive to end-users by the agreed upon due date
  • Ability to identify and communicate known/found issues
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, focused on high-productivity and deliverables; dependable team player is needed in this position
  • Analytical and technically focused in all work activities
  • Communicates status of work and issues with leadership, management, program directors and team members on a timely basis.
  • Develops and maintains productive working relationships with other clinical quality staff and stakeholders who depend on the successful completion of tasks and processes.
  • Responds to and resolves administrative inquiries and questions as needed.
  • Collaborate with partners on the legal and operations team to produce medical records as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including data entry, tracking and process administration tasks as needed.
  • This position requires an individual who is passionate about improving healthcare quality, and takes pride in the quality of their work

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with fields of study in Compliance, Project management and/or Data Analysis and Reporting preferred.  Years of relevant experience may be substituted for education.
  • 3 years work in Healthcare or similar healthcare related organization.
  • 3 years experience working within an incident management system, RLDatix/RL6 preferred with preference given to those with RLDatix Administrator experience.
  • Experience with process management, reporting and data analysis, Six Sigma Certification a plus.
  • Ability to quickly acquire familiarity with the roles and functions of the department.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel is required.

•     Knowledge in developing and writing policy and procedures. Technical writing skills a plus.

•     Skills and knowledge of Quality Assurance process and procedures.

•     Ability to prepare statistical reports and charts.

•     Knowledge and skills in process mapping and charting

•     Excellent presentation and communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate in both written and oral formats, at all levels of the organization.

•     Experience with multi-tasking and coordinating projects.

•     Ability to constructively collaborate with peers and colleagues in sharing value added input, feedback and assessments.

•     Works well under pressure with the ability to learn quickly and adapt to change.

•     Must have a high level of reason and data analytical skills with ability to be objective in reviewing all types of business and systems data.

•     Ability to work flexible schedule.

The base salary range for this position is $65,000 - $75,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here Teladoc Health Benefits 2024. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable for all full-time positions.
