Stryker is hiring a Clinical Contract Associate to support our Instruments division. The Clinical Contract Associate (CCA) Level 1 monitors assigned clinical trials to ensure data integrity and adherence to Federal regulations, company policies, and any other applicable procedures. This role is a primary point of contact with site staff and is responsible for supporting the management of the site throughout all phases of the clinical study, including selection and initiation of sites, as well as conducting and closing activities of the appointed studies.

What you will do

  • Manage research contracts for clinical research department. 
  • Audit existing contracts for compliance to applicable laws, corporate policies, and department procedures.
  • Facilitate negotiation of contract terms for new contracts including budget, payment terms, and other clauses. 
  • Track payments for existing contracts and process check requests with associated back-up for timely payment to investigative sites. Contact sites for needed reports in advance of payment due dates and maintain open communication with investigative sites.
  • Process amendments to existing contracts for changes in research direction, research timeframes, and payment schedules when needed. 
  • Work with investigative sites to ensure timely enactment of contracts to new terms.
  • Process requests for new research proposals through internal review and approval cycle.
  • Initiate new contracts for approved research projects including budget negotiation, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, and working with legal department to negotiate terms. 

What you need

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, health sciences, or research related field.
  • 2+ years of relevant clinical, research, medical device, contracting and/or finance experience.

Preferred

  • Advanced degree in relevant field of study.
  • Experience with legal contracts.  
  • Demonstrated organizational, analytical, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated efficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively and efficiently.
  • Demonstrated competency to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • High degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
