Position Title: Multi-Line Claim ConsultantLocation: Remote Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM MTSalary Range: $75,000 - $85,000

About the Role

 

As a Multi-Line Claim Consultant, you will be responsible for handling a range of complex self-insured municipal claims, including General Liability (GL), litigation matters, and third-party tenders. This role requires a deep understanding of the Colorado Governmental Immunity Act (CGIA) and experience adjusting public entity claims.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate, evaluate, and adjust multi-line claims (auto, property, and casualty) in accordance with established claim handling standards and laws.

  • Utilize claims handling and reporting technology to maintain compliance and manage case files efficiently.

  • Establish reserves and/or provide reserve recommendations within established authority levels.

  • Review, approve, or oversee medical, legal, damage estimates, and miscellaneous invoices.

  • Negotiate settlements in line with Corporate Claim Standards and client-specific handling instructions.

  • Manage and oversee external vendors, including legal teams, surveillance, and case management.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation in the claims system and ensure timely updates.

  • Assess and pursue subrogation opportunities as applicable.

  • Provide effective and timely coordination with clients, claimants, and other stakeholders.

  • Ensure full compliance with CCMSI’s corporate claim handling standards and special client handling instructions.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience adjusting multi-line claims, including auto, property, and casualty claims.

  • Experience handling public entity claims is required.

  • Proficiency in the Colorado Governmental Immunity Act (CGIA) (CRS 24-10-101 et seq.) is required.

  • Previous experience with self-insurance claims, specifically for municipalities, is highly preferred.
  • Litigation experience and third-party tendering expertise are highly preferred.

  • Ability to manage a caseload of complex claims while providing top-tier service to clients.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • AIC, ARM, or CPCU designation is preferred but not required.
