The CPO will lead the global procurement organization, lead Americas and Corporate business planning around procurement savings and benefits, act as business lead for the launch of Cushman’s vendor management capability including infrastructure and oversee the identification and realization of cost reduction programs.Job Description
The position will report to the Americas CFO/COO and will have four key areas of responsibility:
- Supplier Management – Continue internal efforts to build a robust supplier network. Develop an effective supplier management function including onboarding and ongoing management of suppliers (contracts, safety certifications, COIs, etc.)
- Procurement Monetization – Continue internal efforts to monetize $5B+ in third party spend that C&W administer on behalf of clients. Negotiate Vendor Price Discounts (VPDs) and implement other strategies in order to monetize third party spend and capture additional EBITDA.
- Cost Containment and Reduction – Identify and realize opportunities to reduce corporate and IT spend through negotiations with suppliers and enforcement of procurement policies.
- KPIs including Financial and Operational Reporting – Oversees and coordinates the development of project plans, timelines, key milestones and leading/lagging indicators of success related to all major procurement activities. Responsible for tracking progress of all key projects and reporting status to Americas CFO/COO and management team. This includes ownership, accountability and responsibility to overall data governance within the corporation.
Outcomes (specific objective outcomes that this position should accomplish)
- Supplier Network:
- Grow the national and regional preferred suppliers to over 100+ vendors across over numerous categories; vendors will offer CW preferred pricing and vendor price discounts (VPDs)
- Build a robust local supplier network to support Asset Services, CWS, GOS (including Facilities Solutions) needs; likely to include over 5,000 vendors with multiple work orders per annum
- Optimize a team and infrastructure to enable supplier onboarding and management
- Property Management and Facility Management Spend Monetization
- Identify opportunities to improve Facilities Solutions / QSI profitability through improved monetization of suppliers
- Cost Reduction
- Implement the recommendations of corporate cost reduction initiative to realize substantial savings
- Develop an ongoing program to identify and realize new opportunities to reduce corporate spend
- Procurement Organization
- Upgrade and right size a procurement organization that enables CW to realize its procurement goals through developing and attracting talented individuals to work in a cohesive team
