Job Description:
We are looking for a Chief Architect to join our Engineering team. This role will be a technical liaison across the organization for various stakeholders (ex. Leadership, Customer Success, Sales, Product, etc.). This role is remote within the United States.
What you will be responsible for:
Serve as a technical liaison among executives, developers, and stakeholders
Establish patterns, best practices, architecture, infrastructure and tooling of solutions
Collaborate closely with engineering managers and engineering squads to design, develop, and implement solutions
Lead frequent meetings with various stakeholders to ensure alignment and coordination
Govern, prioritize, and drive mitigation for technical debt/operational risk related data engineering and architecture
Coordinate and influence objective setting and help measure overall progress towards domain and solution level goals
Software development processes and workflows
Facilitate resolutions of technical conflicts and help the team with trade-offs
What you will bring to the role:
10+ years data modeling, architecture and development
Ability to lead and influence to a wide range of audiences without direct reports/authority
Expertise in cleansing, structuring and transforming data
Strong SQL knowledge and experience building ETL data pipelines using technologies such as Airflow, Python, Scala, and Apache Spark
Experience architecting big data solutions (Big data projects, Data Migrations, etc.) & working in AWS (preferred) or another cloud provider like Azure or GCP
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, build tools, development frameworks and version control systems
Strong understanding of the direction of technological innovation and ability to bring that expertise to the company
Experience integrating with CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket Pipelines, Bamboo, Gitlab, Terraform, etc.
What Will Make You Stand Out:
Experience building software on Palantir
Strong practical experience with both Agile and SCRUM
Strong understanding of data governance, GDPR, CCPA and PII
Data Science and/or ML experience (Jupyter&/Python)
Hands-on experience composing OCI-compliant containers and orchestration using Docker and K8s
