Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certificate Authority (CA) Engineer with expertise in managing, troubleshooting, and maintaining digital certificates. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with certificate lifecycle management, public key infrastructure (PKI), and hands-on experience with DigiCert.

Your role in our mission

• Manage and maintain digital certificates, including issuance, renewal, revocation, and troubleshooting.
• Support and troubleshoot certificate-related issues across different environments (e.g., web servers, load balancers, applications).
• Configure and manage Certificate Authority (CA) infrastructure, including DigiCert and other PKI solutions.
• Collaborate with security, networking, and DevOps teams to ensure secure certificate deployment and management.
• Implement automation for certificate provisioning, renewal, and monitoring.
• Conduct security audits and best practice reviews related to PKI and certificate management.
• Provide technical guidance and documentation for teams handling certificate-related issues.

What we're looking for

• 5 years of experience in Certificate Authority (CA) management and PKI.
• Expertise in troubleshooting SSL/TLS certificate issues.
• Hands-on experience with DigiCert and other certificate management platforms.
• Knowledge of encryption standards, TLS/SSL protocols, and key management best practices.
• Experience working with enterprise infrastructure, including load balancers, web servers, and cloud environments.
• Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, scripting languages) for certificate management is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

What you should expect in this role

This is a fully remote position with the flexibility to work from home, and we are considering candidates from all US locations.
Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation.

The pay range for this position is $72,800.00 - $104,000.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
