 The Care Manager, Telephonic Nurse Assistant 3, performs in a telephonic environment providing non-clinical support through clerical and administrative tasks through research, assessment and evaluation of members' needs and requirements to achieve and/or maintain wellness state by guiding members/families toward and facilitate interaction with resources appropriate for the care and wellbeing of members. The Care Manager, Telephonic Nurse Assistant 3 performs advanced administrative/operational/customer support duties that require independent initiative and judgment. May apply intermediate mathematical skills.

The Care Manager, Telephonic Nurse Assistant 3 provides non-clinical telephonic support for member's physical, environmental and psycho-social health issues. Assist in evaluating members needs and connecting member to the clinical support needed. Decisions are typically focus on methods, tactics and processes for completing administrative tasks/projects. Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in prioritizing requests and interpreting and adapting procedures, processes and techniques, and works under limited guidance due to previous experience/breadth and depth of knowledge of administrative processes and organizational knowledge.

Required Qualifications

  • Our Department of Defense contract requires U.S. Citizenship for this role 
  • Successfully receive approval for government security clearance (Via National Background Investigation Services NBIS) 
  • 1 or more years of non-clinical care experience
  • 1 or more years of experience in handling high volume customer contacts in a courteous and professional manner
  • Above average written and verbal skills, including organizational abilities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to work across multiple software systems including email, chats, efficient typing skills, and toggling across multiple databases while engaging with callers
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to organize and prioritize simultaneous tasks appropriately

Required Work Schedule

Training: 

  • This position is scheduled to start on November 4, 2024. Virtual training starts on day one of employment and will run for the first 4-6 weeks with an 8-hour schedule between the hours of 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern, Monday - Friday.

Work Schedule Following Training: 

  • Following training, associates are required to have flexibility to work an 8-hour shift between the hours of 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern, Monday - Friday.
  • This position requires learning many systems, policies, and tools, and it takes time to become proficient in the role. You must be willing to remain in this position for a period of twelve (12) months before applying to other Humana opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with case management, discharge planning and patient education for adult acute care
  • Less than 2 years of leadership experience
  • Knowledge of Milliman or InterQual
  • Managed care experience
  • Certified Case Manager (CCM)

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
