Business Performance Sr. Mgr

What you will do

In this vital role you will report to a Business Performance Director within RDO and will be assigned to the development and execution of one or more transformation initiatives related to Amgen’s core functions, e.g., Operations, R&D, Commercial, Medical Affairs, and/or Corporate functions.

Key activities:

  • Support the RDO transformation lead to deliver on initiative ambition
  • Drive execution excellence on workstreams by leading the development and management of the workstream roadmap, integrated project schedule, and status reporting.
  • Act as the proxy or deputy to the lead when interacting with business partners
  • Manage transformation workstreams to deliver business solutions from problem solving through implementation.
  • Design and develop key deliverables and presentation materials that facilitate decision making with senior leaders.
  • Lead development and facilitation of phase-appropriate change management strategies, plans and execution activities.
  • Design and execute working sessions/workshops.
  • Liaise and coordinate across transformation and business teams and manage escalation of issues as needed.
  • Thought partner with Transformation Program Lead and Business Team members to problem solve, ideate solutions, build business cases, develop operational plans, and execute through implementation.
  • Partner with RDO capability leads to apply process mapping, realization metrics, workshop facilitation, and change management as relevant to workstream needs.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of relevant experience

OR

Master’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience

OR

Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of relevant experience

OR

Associate’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Biotechnology / Pharmaceutical industry experience (preferred) or other sectors of healthcare industry.
  • Experience planning and executing large-scale projects that require cross-functional coordination and collaboration.
  • Communicate in an organized and knowledgeable manner in written and verbal formats.
  • Self-starter, works independently to drive high-quality deliverables to successful conclusion.
  • Experience working and leading others in fast-changing and often ambiguous environment.
  • Experience advising Leaders on strategy and resolution of complex business problems.
  • Adeptly leads without authority across levels and functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams and foster a collaborative and inclusive culture.
  • Able to coach teams in utilization of transformation frameworks/tools and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experienced with Smartsheet and MS Teams

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
