What you will be doing

Under minimal supervision, the Business Enablement Specialist develops, documents, and implements a standardized Business Enablement Employee Onboarding program focused on providing a consistent Pre and Post Day One experience. This program supports the larger collective employee onboarding program that includes Human Resources Orientation, Job Training and the 90-day Development plan. This position oversees the execution of operational and technical onboarding activities for new hires, rehires, temporary employees and/or internal transfers (also known as New Hire) through a series of tasks and by providing guidance to and working collaboratively with a variety of functional teams across the organization such as: Regional and Corporate Sales Teams, Customer Operations, Distribution Centers, Commercial Excellence, Human Resources, User Services, IT Services, Corporate Marketing, Shared Services, Strategic Sourcing, and other functional areas.

This individual will have a unique and challenging opportunity to work in an organization that serves multiple business segments and leadership cohorts. They must be able to work with minimal supervision, manage their own time effectively, maintain control over all current projects and responsibilities. The individual must exhibit the ability to persuasively communicate ideas and tactical execution plans to leadership in an effective and productive manner.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide a consistent white-glove Employee Onboarding process that results in cost savings, introduces Cencora culture, and influences employee retention.

2. Build and sustain effective relationships throughout the company – especially with Leadership, the Commercial Excellence organization, IT and Human Resources. The ability to align objectives, seek feedback and collaborate with leadership is a critical success factor.

3. Collaborate with Hiring Managers and provide guidance when needed to customize the Employee Onboarding Role Profiles for their department.

4. Responsible for engaging with New Hire in a timely, professional, and empathetic manner to provide a smooth, informative integration into the organization for Day 1 readiness.

5. Oversee the fulfillment of a multitude of system, equipment, and logistical requests to various departments, ensuring that all deadlines are met, onboarding issues are resolved, and essential resources are provided to New Hire prior to Day 1 to enable a productive Day 1.

6. Conduct Welcome Calls to New Hires to provide an energetic welcome, resolve any issues, encourage feedback/suggestions, and offer ongoing support that mirrors Cencora values.

7. Monitor New Hire’s first 30 days and may conduct brief training sessions in selected areas as needed.

8. Maintain a strong knowledge of best practices and company policies to frame your daily activities.

9. Manage cross team requests and identify capacity constraints with consideration of external factors that may be impactful to the team and adjust as required.

10. Lead cross-training efforts to provide new and existing team members with continued development to ensure full engagement with team culture, access to all resources, and understanding of all processes in support of maximum productivity as well as business continuity during a crisis.

11. Identify  impacts due to change and participate in rethinking and re-evaluating efforts. Advocates for the changes at the team level.

12. Proactively manage change by collaborating with leaders, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to exchange information, provide suggestions for process improvement, communicate coaching opportunities, understand and communicate shared objectives and ensure messaging is accurate.

13. When necessary, identify root cause of issues, recommend deviation from the standard process and gain consensus from stakeholders.  Remove roadblocks and escalate when needed.

14. Establish, review, and analyze the metrics(including tracking of trending issues) and recommend adjustments based on lessons learned, as well as assisting with reporting for monthly status reports.

15. Actively seek new skills and concepts and leverage them to improve outcomes.

16. Actively participate in functional and enterprise initiatives where subject matter expertise on employees onboarding processes and procedures related to HR, IT and other shared functions is needed.

17. Provides expertise to stakeholders through participation in pilot programs, specialty workshops, and organizational initiatives that enhance the workflow across the organization.

18. Supports the integration of new organizations into Cencora or new facilities, as needed.

What your background should look like 

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Normally requires a minimum of two (2) years of administration and/or project management experience

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

1. Ability to handle confidential information and escalate issues when appropriate.
2. Attention to detail; ability to manage timelines and staff.
3. Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and presentation communication skills with individuals at all levels in business. Proven strong collaborative and influencing skills.
4. Working knowledge of computers necessary to operate effectively with company systems and programs. Strong proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications
5. Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and produce high quality results with attention to detail

$57,800 - 82,610

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
