Business Development / Sales Specialist (US govt. contracting exp. req.) Description

Our client, a full-service government contractor, is seeking a Business Developer / Sales Specialist to join their global team. This role is crucial for our client as they continue to grow their footprint in Europe, currently servicing opportunities from Dubai; this individual will be the pioneer in establishing a physical presence locally and will be responsible for developing new business opportunities for bids/proposals with US government agencies and contracting offices, establishing yourself and our client as a resource for fulfilling a wide range of products and services, with solutions tailored to meet the complex needs of US government entities. Qualified candidates will have at least two (2) years of experience with bids/proposals for US government entities based in Europe, with strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. This is a great opportunity to capitalize on your knowledge of navigating US government bids/proposals with a company that provides a diverse range of products and services.

Business Development / Sales Specialist (US govt. contracting exp. req.) Responsibilities

•    Drive the entire sales cycle from prospect engagement to contract closure
•    Develop strategic partnerships in the federal government sector to expand client base
•    Evaluate and qualify potential opportunities to ensure alignment with services needed
•    Lead negotiations to secure profitable contracts
•    Build and maintain strong partnerships to deliver tailored solutions to government clients
•    Collaborate with teams to design custom solutions to meet specific government agency needs
•    Identify and scope potential government contract opportunities using various methods
•    Respond to RFQs and leads, with competitively crafted and technically compliant proposals
•    Consistently achieve or exceed sales targets
•    Collaborate with internal teams and coordinate efforts for smooth project delivery 
•    Provide weekly updates on sales activities, pipeline status, and market dynamics
•    Represent the company at trade shows and industry events

Business Development / Sales Specialist (US govt. contracting exp. req.) Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree required
•    2+ years of bids/proposals for US government contracts experience required
•    Willingness to make cold calls as needed to generate business leads required
•    Travel throughout Europe as needed, typically once per quarter required
•    Valid driver’s license required
•    EU National / EU Citizen status required
