POSITION SUMMARY:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving the company’s growth through the development and execution of new programs, strategic planning, and effective account management. This role ensures the profitable growth of program partners while coordinating strategic and operational plans for Business Development and Program Services to align with the overall goals of Trean Insurance Group.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Strategic Direction & Program Development:

o Define and execute strategy, including product development, pricing, and risk selection criteria.

o Oversee program management processes to ensure alignment with company objectives.

· Program Evaluation & Analysis:

o Assess and select programs to achieve underwriting profit and growth targets.

o Monitor underwriting trends and proactively identify potential issues early in development.

· Relationship Management:

o Build and nurture relationships with key partners and producers to enhance collaboration.

o Facilitate coordination and onboarding processes for new programs.

· Operational Improvement:

o Identify and implement procedural improvements between departments to boost productivity and streamline operations.

· Stakeholder Engagement:

o Develop and manage effective internal and external communication channels with key stakeholders.

o Create and deliver monthly management reports for internal teams.

· Travel Requirements:

o Travel up to 40% or more to support business development and program management efforts.

· Other Duties:

o Perform additional activities, duties, and assignments as required.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

· Business Acumen:

o Demonstrated ability to identify business opportunities by understanding client needs and providing solutions aligned with company objectives.

· Communication Skills:

o Strong presentation, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities.

· Leadership:

o Proven team-building skills with the ability to delegate and manage time effectively.

· Flexibility & Independence:

o Ability to adapt to changing needs and work independently.

· Educational & Professional Experience:

o Bachelor’s degree in marketing, finance, risk management, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.

o Minimum 5 years of experience in field sales and/or marketing.

Salary Description $110,000-130,000 Apply
