Arrowhead General Insurance Agency, Inc. is looking for a Business Development Associate to join our team. In this position, you will serve as a representative for Arrowhead General Insurance Agency, Inc. and National Programs to insurance producers. This position will drive sales production by working with the Commercial Programs Team, providing them with the information and processes necessary to foster growth and enhance connections with producers. The position will primarily focus on Commercial Programs, collaborating closely with team members in this area. The key responsibilities will include conducting market research and assisting in the development of sales strategies. Additionally, this role will be involved in maintaining relationships with existing producers and contributing to the overall success of the business development initiatives.

The pay range for this position is $21.63 - $31.25/hour ($45,000 - $65,000/year).

JOB DUTIES:

  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with agents and producers to facilitate communication and support.

  • Trains agents on the use of online rating tools and resources.

  • Conducts training sessions and webinars for agents on various Commercial Programs.

  • Monitors and reports on the effectiveness of the training programs and makes recommendations for improvements.

  • Works with the Creative Team to schedule and verify announcements for webinars and training offerings.

  • Maintains marketplace knowledge, including insights into competitors' strengths and weaknesses and regularly communicates market intelligence to the Marketing Team and Product Managers.

  • Assists in the identification and analysis of new business opportunities and market trends.

  • Gathers qualitative data for the Customer Relationship Management system, including contacts, product distribution, niche business, and overall agency potential.

  • Prepares monthly summary reports, including production metrics and competitor analysis.

  • Supports the implementation of marketing strategies to drive growth in Commercial Programs.

  • Participates in team meetings and contributes ideas for process enhancements and strategic initiatives.

  • Cross trains with various divisions and programs to stay current on market changes and industry trends.

  • Maintains proficiency in all Arrowhead databases, software, and technology tools.

  • Compiles data for quarterly check-ins with target agencies for Marketing Leads.

  • Contributes to the creation of promotional materials and sales presentations for agents.

  • Works with the Business Development Leader on various events, tradeshows, publications, and promotional activities.

  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and two to four years of experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Proficient in technology, specifically Microsoft Teams and Excel.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Detail-oriented with a willingness to learn and adhere to established processes.

  • Committed to personal and professional growth and development.

  • Highly motivated and customer focused.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

  • Exceptional listening skills, along with strong time management, verbal, and written communication abilities.

  • Knowledge of sales techniques, principles of sales, and sales terminology preferred.

  • Property and Casualty Insurance License preferred.

Pay Range

$21.63 - $31.25 Hourly

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly
rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
