General Function:
Manage business relationships and customer experience for companies with annual sales between $2-$5MM. Assist business owners in achieving financial goals through tailored financial solutions including loans, deposit products, treasury management, merchant processing and all other applicable business banking solutions.
Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues and ensuring that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. Achieve results by identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.
Essential Duties and Responsibiliites:
Focus on customer retention and growth through consultative sales and referrals from customers and branch partners.
Act as a resource/mentor for new and less experienced relationship managers
Use sales and marketing tools to proactively reach out to business customers and set appointments for financial reviews.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of products/services to understand their needs and offer tailored recommendations.
Work independently with Business Development Partner on One Bank partnerships and branch referrals.
Partner independently with various bank teams to provide comprehensive solutions.
Follow all credit policies and adhere to Portfolio Management guidelines.
Achieve credit standards and metrics regarding asset quality and credit administration.
Monitor customer accounts and manage operational risks.
Complete all training on schedule, including sales, credit, product knowledge, and compliance.
Complete administrative tasks in a timely manner.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 5+ years' sales experience; managing business banking or commercial relationships preferred.
Formalized credit training or equivalent credit risk experience preferred.
Proven ability to build new and existing business relationships and provide positive customer experience.
Strong business acumen, including detailed analysis and knowledge of accounting principles preferred.
Ability to effectively communicate with customers and employees.
Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills.
Comfort and familiarity with commercial lending principles.
Understanding of bank policy and procedures preferred.
General understanding of small and medium size companies preferred.
Knowledge of Business Banking, Treasury Management, FTPS and other business solutions.
Analytical and negotiating skills.
Planning and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sales tools.
Possible regional/local travel.
Working Conditions:
Normal office environment with little exposure to dust, noise, temperature, and the like.
Extended viewing of CRT screen.
