Job Title: Business Analyst, Global DTC

Reports to:  Sr. Manager, Analytics

Location:  100% remote position reporting to: 250 Coromar Dr, Goleta, CA 93117

Your Impact:

The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to:

Provide data-driven insights and analyses in support of DTC teams and brand partners. Work closely with various business partners and DTC team members to define problems/opportunities, identify relevant data sources, perform analyses/modeling, and deliver actionable data to downstream systems or via visual dashboards. Create and maintain standardized Tableau dashboards to provide ongoing data and insight for internal stakeholders (including executive level leadership). Extract business value and meaningful insights from centralized data repository with both structured and unstructured data. Write complex queries for interacting with data from a variety of sources and data systems. Automate data cleansing, integration, maintenance, and enrichment processes. Ensure data accuracy, troubleshoot and advise support teams on data usage/data issues. Produce and interpret unique data visualizations produced on a regular cadence and ad hoc. Establish and monitor success metrics to evaluate marketing performance (such as customer lifetime value, time to second purchase, etc.). Turn business questions into functional analysis –understand business as well as data behind analysis and assess impact of analyses in terms of sales, profitability, and KPIs. Intake and prioritize standard and ad hoc analysis requests from marketing and brand partners. Interpret data using statistical, machine learning, and predictive models. Use available data sets and tools to research into drivers of purchase behavior and content effectiveness. Use log-level to deepen customer understanding and what is likely to influence purchase behavior. Organize insights, data and visualizations into comprehensive data stories for distribution to partners to support internal business decisions.

SALARY: $103,126/year - The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Who You Are:

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Statistics or related computational field of study.

Work Experience:

  • 2 years of experience in Business Analytics. Employer will accept a Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Statistics or related computational field of study and 1 year of experience in Business Analytics in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 2 years of experience.

Skills/Competencies:

Applicants must have demonstrated experience with the following:

  • 2 years (1 year if qualifying with Master’s degree) of experience generating analysis on large sets of data;
  • 2 years (1 year if qualifying with Master’s degree) of data visualization experience;
  • working with a variety of stakeholders and cross-functional teams, as well as third-party agencies/partners;
  • working with a variety of data-sources to solve complex business questions;
  • Machine Learning and building statistical models;
  • development experience with Tableau, SQL, and Google Analytics;
  • databases, blending datasets, data wrangling, maintenance, and cleaning;
  • transforming complex datasets into simple visuals;
  • running an analytics project from start to finish;
  • cloud data solutions, to include AWS Redshift and Snowflake;
  • defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing conclusions;
  • interpreting and working with both structured and unstructured data;
  • Adobe Photoshop within a design-context;
  • presenting information in front of large group; and
  • multi touch media attribution.
