BI Engineer

In this role you will:

A BI Engineer at Actabl will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations of the Sisense based BI platform, collecting, analyzing and presenting data for specific business needs

Typical Functions:

BI Platform SME

• Understand, use, and enhance chosen BI Tool 
• Stay current with BI tool’s latest offerings and industry trends in Analytics
• Troubleshoot Dashboard errors and Model build failures
• Work with the DevOps team to monitor and maintain optimal infrastructure health 

BI Engineer/Analyst

• Understand data from all Actabl brands
• Query relational data for specific customer/business needs
• Explore data to tell stories with visuals based on customer/business needs
• Translate complex data into actionable insights that drive business decisions
• Suggests and defines requirements for new KPIs and dashboards that benefit internal and external customers
• Create technical documentation to capture intellectual property and knowledge sharing
• Identify improvement opportunities, propose solutions, and help convey that to business

Experience

• Proficient in the use of a BI tool such as Tableau, Power BI or Sisense (5+ years)
• Understanding and use of relational databases (3+ yrs)
• Knowledge of SQL (3+ yrs)
• Knowledge of Cloud Data warehouses, preferably Snowflake
• Knowledge of ELT/ETL processes and tools
• Statistical knowledge 
• Experience working with Product Owners/Managers, Data Engineers and Implementation Teams to plan and execute projects successfully and on time
