Betaseed Regional Sales Manager

Betaseed is looking for a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for area of Idaho, eastern Oregon and Washington, and the Imperial Valley of California. This remote position would ideally be served from within the sugarbeet production area in Idaho. The RSM is directly responsible for all Betaseed sugarbeet sales and marketing acvtivities including managing a network of Independent Sales Agents within the growing region. This position has a direct report; a Sales Representative located in Idaho.
Essential Job Functions:
- Lead, support, and manage the activities of the Independent Sales Agent network and Sales Representative to achieve annual sales goals throughout the Amalgamated Sugar and Imperial Valley markets in the promotion of Betaseed sugarbeet hybrids.
- Foster relationships with the respective agricultural staff of each sugar cooperative/company in an effort to maximize sales of Betaseed products and build brand loyalty.
- Develop marketing strategies to increase market share and enhance brand presence, such as: farm visits, plot tours, grower meetings, industry functions, and customer service.
- Understand customer needs and provide feedback to the organization on product performance, effectiveness, and competitive activity.
- Develop a healthy, respectful working relationship with the cooperatives and sugar companies served, as well as growers and personnel of allied industry agencies.
- Manage sales and marketing activities including, grower service, seed allocations, inventory management, territory management, and testing or trial organization outside of the official trials.
- Prepare and communicate timely and accurate reports that include market plans, sales forecasts, hybrid performance data, expense budgeting, credit and collections.
- Other duties as needed by the business.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science degree in agronomy, agriculture, business, biology, or a related field.
- Knowledge of the sugar beet industry that includes seed and crop production, as well as allied support industries in crop protection, farm equipment, and research.

Able to work from home office, ideally based within the sugarbeet production area of Idaho.
- Minimum 5 years leadership experience in the seed or agricultural industry.
- Demonstrated ability to increase market share while maintaining high levels of customer service.
- Strong interpersonal communication, presentation and meeting facilitation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Results-oriented approach to meeting annual sales goals.
- Ability to travel frequently.
- Proficient Computer skills in Microsoft Office Products.
- Ability to pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background check.
We Offer:
- A salary between $90,168.80 to $135,253.20. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus. This reflects a reasonable estimate of the targeted base salary for this role. Based on factors such as geographic location and candidate qualifications, actual base pay is determined when an employment offer is made.
