The Standard has completed the acquisition of the Employer[AM1] Voluntary Benefits business from Allstate. This deal enhances our competitive position in the market with a comprehensive offering of workplace benefits products and capabilities.

Job Summary
The Benefits Administration Consultant II is responsible for managing the onboarding process for new employer customers, focusing on billing account management and premium processing. This includes validating account set-up information, educating customers on their role in the billing process, and ensuring a smooth transition during implementation. The Consultant will also monitor ongoing billing processes to identify and address any issues, ensuring accuracy and customer satisfaction.

• Lead administration calls with new and existing accounts to provide continuous customer support.
• Collaborate with the account management team to communicate, escalate, and resolve issues.
• Maintain monthly reporting to track challenges or potential account lapses.
• Advise customers on administration options and collect feedback to improve services.
• Review employer payment records to ensure deductions align with elected coverage.
• Research, analyze, and respond to customer requests or escalation situations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, brokers, and regional offices.
• Resolve policy discrepancies and prepare reconciliation reports for employers.
• Keep timelines and reporting up to date for assigned accounts.
• Suggest and implement approved process improvements.

Skills and Background You’ll Need
• 2+ years of experience in benefits administration or related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with billing processes and premium processing.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.

 

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.

Salary Range:

$64,250.00 - $94,000.00
