Role Summary/Purpose:

As our Assistant Vice President, Marketing – TJX, you’ll be right at the heart of our retail credit card portfolio, including brands such as TJMaxx, HomeGoods, HomeSense, Marshalls & Sierra. It’s a high-profile role working with a highly collaborative team where you’ll take ownership developing and implementing new marketing strategies and tactics with a focus on Cardmember engagement and retention. That will mean using your analytic and creative vision to develop, execute, and evolve great campaigns and programs.

Occasionally you may be required to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as business or team meetings, training and culture events.

The position MUST work East Coast Hours

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Owning the strategy and implementation of multiple campaigns, including retention offers, Card Upgrades, promotional financing, and others as needed

  • Engaging with the client to recommend new tactics, drive the creative process, and execute campaigns 

  • Partnering with our analytics team to devise strategies, hone targeting, implement tests, and leverage results

  • Managing campaign budgets and optimizing contractual marketing spend making recommendations for investments in long term growth

  • Managing all statement marketing and content

  • Working with 3rd party vendors (like TLC) for the creation and marketing of partner funded offers

  • Using the new Engage platform to drive incremental sales and expedited fulfillment

  • Monitoring the market for emerging trends, risks, and opportunities to improve our portfolio and service offering

  • Understanding and influencing key client and supplier contacts, using your in-depth knowledge of their needs to deliver exceptional results

  • Contributing to key performance metrics, including net credit sales, net income, and ROI

  • Flexibility to manage additional projects as they arise

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree; OR In lieu of a degree, a high school diploma and 9+ years of marketing experience within the credit card or financial services industry

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing with a focus on client relationship management preferably within the credit and retail industries

Desired Characteristics:

  • Client relationship management experience, the ability to engage in-person and virtually, and the confidence to influence colleagues and suppliers

  • Experience with Campaign Management tools, preferably Cosmos/Workfront
