Job Description

The Assistant Vice President Financial Planning & Analysis will lead a team providing financial support to various Executives across Prime.). Responsible for oversight and strategic leadership; acting as a liaison between executive leadership and Finance. This position owns a key role in leading major efforts and works closely with executives to influence, refine and implement business strategies, including development of business cases for key projects and support of Underwriting in RFP efforts. The role will be primarily responsible for all Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) related items including relationships with Prime’s Trade Relations partners. This will include Prime’s risk reserve and other financial instruments. In addition, the position owns evaluation of external and internal investments as well as Prime’s Investment Review Committee.

Responsibilities

  • Manage annual budgeting process; oversee preparation of monthly reporting of results against budget and forecast for specified business area and ensure proper understanding of these results by senior and executive leadership
  • Lead enterprise-wide projects that focus on revenue and COGS modeling. Collaborate cross functionally on various projects; provide financial oversight to the team and implement recommendations.
  • Consult with Prime management to investigate and analyze key business issues; provide comprehensive and relevant financial analysis and make financial recommendations.

  • Manage third party relationships as it relates to Prime’s COGS to include partnerships with our Trade Relations vendors
  • Build and develop a team as the business continues to evolve and grow.
  • Develop and foster a culture of continuous improvement, working with direct reports to provide guidance and direction on process and system improvements to support future growth
  • Assist in the preparation of Board meeting materials and other executive level presentations
  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required
  • 12 years of progressive work experience leading/managing diverse teams across finance, systems management, etc. including 5 years of PBM experience
  • 8 years of leadership/people management experience
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship.

Additional Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of PBM gross margin drivers including rebates, admin fees, and financial guarantees associated with network management
  • Experience assessing, developing future state recommendations and implementing cost of goods sold improvements
  • Ability to establish rapport, build relationships, and collaborate effectively across departments and at all levels within the organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills with the ability to lead and drive change
  • Proven experience inspiring cross-functional teams to meet business objectives with outstanding results
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and consultative skills; demonstrated ability to distill complex concepts or situations into concise and compelling communications to both technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business or related area of study
  • Broad experience across finance systems including Hyperion, ERP/SAP, Workday, etc.

Potential pay for this position ranges from $164,000.00 - $279,000.00 based on experience and skills.
