Attorney / Partner Recruiting Manager (Hybrid Remote)

Salary: $120,000 - 135,000/yearThis position allows for 3 - 4 days per week remote / work form home. We are seeking an experienced and strategic Partner Recruiting Manager to lead the recruiting efforts for attracting, evaluating, and onboarding high-caliber partners at [Firm Name]. As a key member of the HR and talent acquisition team, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end recruitment process for lateral partner hires, ensuring that we bring in professionals who align with our firm's values, practice areas, and growth objectives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the legal industry, partner dynamics, and proven expertise in high-level recruitment.

Responsibilities

  • Recruitment Strategy Development:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive recruitment strategy for lateral partner hires that aligns with the firm's business objectives and growth plans. Ensure that recruitment efforts focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Sourcing and Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential partner candidates, legal search firms, and other relevant industry contacts. Proactively identify and engage top legal talent in various practice areas.
  • Candidate Screening and Evaluation:
  • Lead the candidate evaluation process, including conducting interviews, gathering feedback from firm leaders, and assessing candidates' fit within the firm’s culture and long-term goals.
  • Market Research and Analysis:
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor movements, and market intelligence to develop a competitive advantage in partner recruitment. Utilize this knowledge to refine recruitment strategies and identify new opportunities for attracting top talent.
  • Collaboration with Firm Leadership:
  • Partner closely with senior leadership, practice group leaders, and other stakeholders to understand the firm’s needs and ensure alignment throughout the recruitment process. Offer insights and recommendations regarding candidates, market trends, and recruiting best practices.
  • Offer Negotiation and Closing:
  • Manage the offer process, including compensation discussions, negotiations, and finalizing agreements with prospective partners.
  • Onboarding and Integration:
  • Work closely with the HR team to ensure smooth onboarding for new partners, ensuring that they are integrated seamlessly into the firm’s culture and operations.
  • Metrics and Reporting:
  • Track recruitment metrics, including time-to-hire, candidate pipeline status, and diversity initiatives, and provide regular updates to firm leadership on the effectiveness of recruiting efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; JD or equivalent legal experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in recruitment, with at least 3 years in partner or senior-level recruitment within the legal industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the legal landscape and experience working with law firm leadership to align recruitment strategies with business needs.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex negotiations and providing strategic advice to leadership regarding partner recruitment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with attorneys at all levels.
  • Proven track record of successfully recruiting lateral partners for a law firm or legal organization.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
