The AVP, Core Curriculum and Instruction (+M/L) leads the field-forward Impact Specialists, Curriculum and Instruction, a team of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) who will advance CAs core footprint alongside field teams through opportunity advisement and sales presentations that drive success in core adoptions, as they strengthen key literacy core implementations including pilots and efficacy work. ISL/ISMs will collaborate with a range of external and internal stakeholders to lead efforts that achieve our company goals in the core literacy and mathematics market. This group focuses on field conditions favorable to high market share and revenue.
The impact you'll have, delivered through Impact Directors and Specialists:
As the lead architect of field engagements to advance core footprint, the AVP Core Curriculum and Instruction anticipates and identifies necessary actions across an adoption’s launch-implementation-maintenance continuum and responds with appropriate emphasis on team preparedness, deployment and execution as they achieve high-impact product and service installations.
- Advise on health of existing priority adoptions
- Establish leads and processes around strategic prework in OT and state adoption
- Drive sponsor-level scope-of-work for emerging core pilots
- Support efficacy studies by advising on PL and service touchpoints
- Unify IST capacity to engage current partners in core awareness/upsell when appropriate
- Build capacity for sales discoveries, conversations and presentations at all levels
- Coach internal teams and external stakeholders on high-integrity implementations
- Create expert feedback loops for product refining and positioning with internal teams
- Contribute to the development of meaningful PL experiences for educators
- Serve large districts with custom, multi-year installation planning
- Refresh content for summits, reading conferences and other educator-facing premier events
- Promote CA thought leadership, research and authorship in education forums
Lead and Mentor a Team of Impact Specialists and Directors, Curriculum and Instruction (M/L):
- Curate a curriculum of product and presentation training in conjunction with national directors that will ready and maintain gold standard presentation skills in service to revenue
- Ensure all team members maintain a deep understanding of legislation that impacts their core subject area on instruction, standards change, and adoption opportunities for states within the assigned region.
- Develop ability to communicate features, advantages and benefits of the SMEs core offering in sales settings
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team, encouraging continuous improvement and innovation.
- Provide guidance and access to information and assets that enable swift response to core sales, implementations, pilots and efficacy sites
- Ensure team members understand their roles and responsibilities, advocating for their access to information and support necessary for achieving results and driving accountability.
Oversee Efforts to Strengthen Key Implementations:
- Develop a plan to maintain and leverage data to report out on the health of key core implementations.
- Equip the team of Impact Specialist, Curriculum & Instruction to assist field teams in responding to implementation challenges and provide solutions to address them effectively.
Partner and Align with IST and Internal Leadership:
- Engage with regional leadership to understand opportunities for growing our presence and serving more educators with core curriculum
- Ensure transparent and effective communication by disseminating clear, concise, and timely updates to stakeholders, fostering a shared understanding of project status and milestones.·
- Partner with field and regional marketing teams to support strategic sales initiatives, driving new business and customer retention.
Who we're looking for:
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing strategic initiatives to drive organizational goals with measurable accountability.
- Knowledge of best practices and trends in core curriculum, implementation best practices, and teaching and learning
- Ability to thrive in collaborative environments while demonstrating a high degree of self-directed initiative.
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to balance short-term tasks with long-term projects and initiatives.
- Embody and model the CA culture tenets in all activities internal and external.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in education with a focus on your subject matter
- Demonstrated effectiveness working cross-functionally, building relationships with remote teams, and working with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience leading and managing a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Travel: 70%; overnight travel
Benefits and Pay Range:
Pay Range – This role’s range is $110,500 - $196,500. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that Curriculum Associates considers in making compensation decisions based on our Compensation Philosophy. Actual base pay within that range will vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, prior experience and relevant skill sets. At Curriculum Associates, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances for each case. The Company recognizes that minimum wage varies by location and will ensure all compensation decisions comply with applicable state and local laws.
