Compensation: $52,000 – $65,000 (Range applies to US candidates only) + Benefits/Variable Comp/Equity - Range may vary based on experience.

Summary
We are looking for an Associate Technical Writer to join our Product Management Documentation team. In this position, you will review new features or products with Product Management, Development and QA teams to provide corresponding end user documentation capturing concepts, procedures, best practices and use cases in deliverables such as user guides, installation guides and more. This position requires effective planning, scheduling, research, and writing skills.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with Product Engineering teams to understand products or features and then write succinct, task-based content describing their use.
- Produce documentation which conveys complex technical ideas to a potentially non-technical audience.
- Produce release notes, installation instructions, user guides and any other content required for releases.
- Ensure deliverables adhere to standards, are reviewed for accuracy, and free from spelling and grammatical errors.
- Support team initiatives such as enhancing existing content.
- Possibly script or produce videos that highlight new products or functionality.
Required Education and Experience
- We are looking for someone who is passionate about writing and enhancing the quality of our deliverables. While familiarity with the software development lifecycle and corporate performance management systems and tools is not required, the ideal candidate is curious, eager to learn, open to feedback, and collaborative.
- BA/BS degree in English, Technical Communications, Technical Writing, Communications, or Journalism.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- 0 - 3 years of relevant experience or schooling.
- Excellent listening, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with Office 365, Madcap Flare, industry-leading content management tools and Camtasia preferred.
- Familiarity with accounting or corporate finance a plus.
