Associate Specialist, Compensation (1st Shift) - Remote

Overview:

Providing accurate and timely support in the overall day to day Compensation efforts across the organization, with specific focuses on compensation across the Americas.  You will be involved in implementing and administering compensation programs, with a focus on data management

RESPONSIBILITIES

Compensation Review and Operations

  • Maintains and creates current standard operating procedures.
  • Assist with periodic reporting e.g. quarterly true ups to Finance for bonus provisions. 
  • Assists with legal compliance requirements, including annual filings, audits, and mandated testing.
  • Works closely with vendors, establishing close working relationships and monitoring compliance with SLA’s.
  • Review promotional and career progression salary increase proposal and any other request.
  • Assist with compensation related questions such as job evaluation, market data, Cash Bonus plan and Long-term incentive plan from our HR colleagues. Escalates to the Manager as required.
  • Assisting in ad-hoc query and projects.

Annual Pay Review

  • Support the delivery of the annual review; provide relevant payroll and market pay analyses.
  • Assist Manager in constructing annual base salary structures, including analyzing data to ensure there are internal and external equity.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Conduct internal equity analysis from time-to-time.
  • Conduct audits to check salary changes in Fusion outside of approval matrix.
  • Keep abreast of minimum wage guideline and make recommendations for compliance. 
  • Support in reviewing salary scales/compa-ratio in HR System.

General Experience 

  • Clear communication skills – verbal and written
  • Excellent English Language Skills
  • Proficiency in Word, Outlook, Power Point
  • Moderate Excel and analytical skills - v-lookup, pivot and Excel formulas 
  • High level of numeracy and attention to detail

Candidates must be within 250 miles of an APL Logistics facility or office.

The typical starting salary range for this position is: $62,090 - $75,000.

The actual salary offer will take into account multiple factors including skills, experience, education and location. Please note that the salary details listed in role postings reflect the base salary only, not total compensation, which includes bonus and benefits.
