Associate Director, Tech Procurement LATAM Lead- Hybrid

Job Description

The LATAM regional lead for Technology Procurement manages commodity and vendor ownership  within IT professional Services, Software, Hardware, and Telecom categories. The role reports to the Director of Global Technology Procurement Hardware, Infrastructure, Telecom. This position will take an active role in the development of procurement strategy, global and regional category management, contract management, risk management, stakeholder management, and supplier value management within these categories. The Associate Director IT Services Procurement will develop and maintain strong relationships with key leaders across LATAM region that require technology sourcing and contracting. They also will lead and shape the relationships with key strategic suppliers ensuing alignment between business strategies and sourcing execution.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leadership - As a key leader of a category of spend, responsible to develop then implement sourcing strategy and ensure alignment, compliance and delivery of required business performance.

  • Procurement Leadership – Support the leadership, strategy and policy for the function building a high-performance engagement model with the business and regions.

  • Process - Realize sourcing management, supplier value management, risk management, supplier diversity and SAP as core sustainable processes and enablers of delivery.

  • Performance - Drive competitive sourcing events (RFQs, RFIs, RFPs) and support vendor selection, commercial negotiation, and market awareness.

  • Relationships - Build outstanding relationships with stakeholders which are oriented to meeting their business needs.

  • Change Management - Adopt high quality change practices with customers and stakeholders, building and implementing an organization which is sustainable. Be a personal exemplar of our Company's Leadership Standards.

  • Contract Management - Independently manage suppliers and stakeholders in contract term negotiations from initial contracting review to contract signing/execution.

  • Regional & Global - Ensure that the approach adopted is aligned with and supports our Company's global procurement strategy and Global Category Management and adapted to regional LATAM requirements.

  • Diversity - Actively support diversity, both within our Company as well as expanding relationships and spend with Diverse Suppliers.

  • Supplier Value Management - Implement Supplier Value Management with the key suppliers in this category to foster innovation, manage supplier performance, establish a Governance Model, and ensure continuous improvement.

Position Qualifications:

Education Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor ‘s Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or other related discipline.

 ​Required Experience and Skills:

  • Must speak Spanish and English proficiently - reading, writing, and speaking

  • 10+ years of Procurement, Business Management in addition to IT domain specific experience

  • Experience working in a matrixed organization, covering contract management, supplier relationship management, negotiation, governance, policy & process development.

  • Technical – A strong background / knowledge of technology, stakeholder and vendor management

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • IT specific experience

  • Proficient in Portuguese language

  • Business Relationship Management

  • Ariba experience

  • Masters/MBA preferred

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, Monday - Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence.This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. The Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job in certain states and cities within the United States. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected US salary range:

$122,800.00 - $193,300.00
