Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Manager to lead the development and management of our OMICS data product portfolio. This unique role combines a strong understanding of biopharma research, hands-on experience with various OMICS modalities, and the ability to drive product strategy and execution. Successful candidate will be accountable for timely availability of OMICS data for in silico research and ensure that our data products meet the evolving needs of researchers in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their OMICS data needs for in silico discovery, defining the core capabilities required to support these needs.
Create, lead and collaborate cross-functional teams comprised of bioinformaticians, data scientists, software engineers, and product designers to drive product development and execution.
Develop and communicate a product vision, strategy, and roadmap for OMICS data products that align with business objectives and market opportunities.
Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders regarding product vision, strategy, and roadmap updates.
Apply Agile methodologies in managing the product development lifecycle, including sprint planning, backlog management, and performance assessments.
Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders and product team members to provide updates on progress and motivate the team to achieve execution goals.
Ensure that the product team is aligned with the overall product vision and motivated to contribute to successful execution.
Leverage hands-on experience with various OMICS technologies (DNA-seq, RNA-seq, proteomics, single-cell, spatial, CRISPR, etc.) to inform product features and enhancements.
Support the development of tools and methodologies that facilitate the processing and analysis of OMICS data.
Foster a collaborative environment that encourages open communication and aligns team efforts with the product roadmap.
Advocate for the adoption of FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) data principles in the development of OMICS data products.
Highlight the need for, and help stakeholders with creation of metadata standards and documentation practices to ensure the findability and accessibility of data
Ensure the establishment of scalable cloud storage and compute infrastructure to support the needs of OMICS data acquisition and processing.
Take responsibility for enabling automation and monitoring solutions that enhance workflow efficiency and data integrity.
Ensure the timely availability and quality of OMICS data by overseeing data processing pipelines and workflows that support in silico research initiatives.
Act as a key point of accountability for the execution and delivery timelines related to OMICS data products.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
5+ years of experience in technical product management, particularly within the biopharma or healthcare sectors.
Ability to travel up to 20%
Demonstrated understanding of OMICS technologies and modalities, including scRNA-seq, bulk RNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics, proteomics, CRISPR, and PerturbSeq.
Experience with cloud storage and compute infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure) and knowledge of automation and monitoring tools.
Familiarity with FAIR data principles and best practices related to data management and interoperability.
Strong experience with Agile methodologies and product management frameworks.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Proven ability to motivate cross-functional teams and drive product strategy from conception to execution.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

The Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job in certain states and cities within the United States. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.
Expected US salary range:
$139,600.00 - $219,700.00Available benefits include bonus eligibility, long term incentive if applicable, health care and other insurance benefits (for employee and family), retirement benefits, paid holidays, vacation, and sick days. A summary of benefits is listed here.
